This weekend me and two other guys from my team are going back to the school that we recently worked at for a month. We left one week ago, and we were able to see that we had an impact on a lot of students there, even ones we couldn’t talk to due to the language barrier. After coming back to the city we’re in now, some of us were frustrated with being back in a city called Siem Reap, where we feel our ministry opportunities and ability to build good relationships are not as great as our last place we stayed. While we are able to see the good that can come from what we’re doing now, a huge opportunity has opened up to us to go back to the high school we’ve been staying at. This has been opened up to us by several things coming together for us to have the money and for us to just be able to go without having things we need to do here in Siem Reap. This is not a normal thing to do, and I don’t think anyone on our squad has gone away from the squad for a weekend without a leader, so just us being allowed to do this has been huge. Our plan this weekend is to gather students at the school together, teach them the Gospel, have a fun evening of playing basketball, then after all of that we are inviting them all to eat dinner with us. Many of these students have never heard the Gospel in their lives, and we are able to share that with them this weekend, as we have a translator better than any we were able to use during our time there before. I ask that everyone who reads this can pray for our time there and pray that God will move this weekend.
Thank you.
