For the past few weeks my team and I have been working in a high school in a smaller town in Cambodia. We have been teaching English to kids here and we have really been focusing on building relationships with people here so that we are able to reach them with the Gospel. We’ve built relationships with the teacher we’ve been working with, the owner of the restaurant that we eat at for every meal, and a few others. The best relationships we have made so far have been two students at the high school. I have been meeting with them along with a couple other guys on my team that want to help that day for a couple of weeks now. We have grown to be good friends and I have been able to help them with their English as well as teach them about Jesus. The problem here is that there are a few things holding them back from deciding to follow Jesus. There are cultural implications here in Cambodia that often hold people back from understanding what God offers them and also keeps them from understanding that the one true God is all they can worship. There are other issues that come with each person that I believe may be holding them back as well, but as we come into our last few days with them, I just want to ask for prayer. Prayer that God will open their hearts and their minds. Prayer that God will give me the words to say. Their names are Buntwy and Len.
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.” 1 John 5:14
Thank you for all of your prayers. Also you may be surprised I’m posting on this platform again. I’m not really sure what is going on with the blog platforms right now, but for now I will be posting here and I will keep you updated.
Thank you for reading!
